So pulled out the meter finally and my memory was pretty close. Couldn't hold the probes still enough for the reading to stabilize but was flickering between 1.1 and 1.3 ohms minus 0.5ohms for the leads... lets call it 0.7ohms for arguments sake.

I can't say I fully agree with this I have experimented with screen placrment and found with a little technique adjustment it doesn't make much difference. Deeper in the GonG needs more button time and slower draw to get to temp but cloud size is not affected just need to work at it a bit...

Do you have access to a multi meter? Its a bit tricky to hold its probes just right and press the trigger to get a reading... Then subract the resistance of the probe leads and you should have something close to the heater resistance :tup: Now all you need the know is what it is supposed to be...

One thing I have noticed with these bats... 50% is about 3.7v? From what I have been able to glean is ideal storage voltage and what the get shipped at. The thing is pop them into the D2 and graphic read out shows an empty bat not 50%

Certainly doesn't sound normal! There is at least one nut supposed to be in there clamping a wire to the battery terminal at the bottom (not sure about the other end of the wire) but its not supposed to be loose. Maybe you get lucky and they are extras fell in there somehow?

Nope not possible if it is draining when not in use then the button must be getting pressed. The button completes the circuit when pressed so not pressed should mean no drain... This is why they come with the safety pic now to avoid accidental ppwer on which could cause catastrophic meltdown as...

Depends on your definition of hot? I just had a sesh with mine and it got warm on the outside by the end. Almost cozy pocket warmer warm, but not quite... If I go back to back it gets all the way there it is really pleasant especially when its cold out, but I wouldn't say it ever really got hot...

This is true the newer models should all be standardised and meet that 1 inch depth. But if not ddave has addressed the issue any way.
