.1 is alot more than ive put in the donut at one time. I put a dab on the black ceramic, pulse the button and roll it around to evenly cover, then let it heat for 15 seconds or so. If theres too much oil in it, i dont get great hits.

Id love to believe i was using my multimeter wrong, but thats not likely the case. Each time i did different amounts of wrap, my first was 5.8, second was 2.8 and third was 2.1. Never dipped below 2 on the meter, and the last one burned out on my first test at 3.7v.

Cool... uh... it just died on me again... Off to get some iso and rebuild 1 more time. i wanted a 7.4 that would heat slower than stock but still peak over 3.7's potential.

does it affect the longevity of coil at all? And despite having what looks like an evenly distributed coil setup, there are distinct hot spots, how do i remedy on the next build?

I am using the official w9 rebuild kit. It took me 3 tries to get it together properly, then once i had, i measured, came out 2.4. Threw it on omi, and it half worked. Wouldnt work on either hammer or v4. I fiddled with spacing the coil apart more with a toothpick, then tested, came back...
