Something is wrong... either with the MiniVAP, your technique, or both. Once the unit is fully soaked with heat, your wife should get clouds of vapor on even a single draw. Are you using the baskets? And are you connecting the basket to the flexicone/flexicone plus? How long do you let it heat...

Interesting... could you be more specific? What temp do you have it set on? Do you put the loaded basket in the chamber before turning it on, or do you wait for the light to stop blinking?

The VXL people taught me a real easy way to confirm if your bamboo is cracked. With the unit off, cover the bottom hole with your finger and blow into the top. It should be airtight. If any air escapes, your bamboo may be cracked.
