You're more than welcome! We're here to help each other. :tup: That's correct. If one of the disks fails for some reason then you should only hear one click at proper heating temp and one click at cool down. Sometimes they will click so closely together that it will simply sound like one click...

The cap on your tip has TWO metal disks crimped into the top of it. Those "bi-metal" discs flex and pop when they reach the proper temperature. That second disc is considered a BACKUP in case the first fails. So technically there could be FOUR clicks altogether. There should be two when it...
