    The Voltage Keeper

Hey there, I'm finally getting my soldering equipment all setup back together. I still haven't gotten a corrected order of screens yet so once i get those everyone will get done - i am hoping in the next couple of weeks. I'll get on that parts order now.

So the move was pretty much successful, although all my VK related parts and tools are still in boxes scattered around the house. That said, there's only 3 people in queue right now, and I have most of the parts minus screens, so once I get the workshop back together again I should hopefully be...

    The Voltage Keeper

Looks like I will be moving into a new house soon! Not sure exactly when, but it might make shipping / receiving things a little bit funny for the rest of december. If you do need to send me anything or for me to ship you anything - please get in touch with me before using my old address so we...

Newly written instructions page, mostly for the new customers, but maybe useful for everyone else too: http://www.voltagekeeper.com/instructions/

    The Voltage Keeper

3 more VK's coming off the line now, I got a messed up shipment of voltmeters which put me behind a little further than I hoped to be, I'm still waiting to get that corrected, but I also might be moving in the next month or two, so that is definitely going to mean some delays while I get settled...

    The Voltage Keeper

You're correct that they are DC powered and use the thin DC style cords. It is a modular DC power supply, so you can provide it DC from any number of sources, wallwarts, batteries, etc... Most people re-use the adapter that came with their vape, which works fine as long as it's DC and wired...

    The Voltage Keeper

Thanks for all the praises! I'm still trying to get out a few international orders, but most of my local orders within the US are out now. The list isn't too bad right now, I've got most of the parts for the next set of battery units minus the batteries and chargers which should be here in the...

    LASER dabbing (shark free)

most lasers that are intended for burning are indeed infrared and thus invisible, so you can't even actually see the beam, which makes them even more dangerous. Thus, the need for this warning: I always wanted to build a CO2 laser as a side project, which would be more than adequate to burn...

    The Voltage Keeper

I was tempted to do the screens a few different ways, but they ended up only fitting nicely the one way, and that's basically so the top row of screens is the first unit on the left side, and the bottom row of screens is the second unit on the right side. I probably could do all sorts of crazy...

    The Voltage Keeper

Here is the group that is going out now! Two new items in the photo above. The most obvious new one is the double VK! As you can see it's got two of everything! Two knobs, two switches, two output jacks, and of course, just one input jack to drive it all. I'll probably have these on the site...

    The Voltage Keeper

The official answer: No you shouldn't use a standard 12v DC wall wart since it won't know when to stop charging and may not actually have a high enough voltage to really charge it, since it actually charges slightly above 12v normally. You can use it to power the VK with the battery turned off...

    The Voltage Keeper

I think I'm still waiting for some more batteries to come in for your unit, I've got enough for the 3 more on hand but they're all claimed at the moment. I'll give an update once they arrive.

    The Voltage Keeper

I'm currently working on my backlog and hoping everyone will be done by the end of the month. I apologize again for the wait, I've been struggling to find the time to balance the VK's with my other priorities. That said, I also need to make a few changes so that I can hopefully keep this...

    The Voltage Keeper

Yes it works both ways. You can charge it while using it too but it tends to take a lot longer when you do that. The battery is completely enable/disable-able so when it's turned off it acts like a standrad VK.

    The Voltage Keeper

Hi, probably a 2-3 month wait right now as I'm still a bit behind.

It is not on the site yet, you'll have to send me a PM and I can arrange an invoice. To answer your questions: Yes, yes, and yes (batteries are included). Protected 18650's only.

    The Voltage Keeper

Still working on it - I've been a bit demotivated lately for some stupid reason - my actual job stressing me out too much I think! I'm really hoping to have a big update soon, as I just had a few more orders come in and I hate when things stack up!

    The Voltage Keeper

They're indeed panasonic ncr18650b's, I buy them from a wholesaler that wraps them with a protection circuit. I use IMR's in my VK DNA 40 Box MOD though, but that's intended for IMR's of course. They have a C rating of 2 and so should do 6A discharge rate. I'm sure the high amperage circuit...

    The Voltage Keeper

I use protected 18650s in the battery VK so indeed they will cutoff if you run them too low. If you were to replace the batteries you must use only protected batteries to ensure the safety of the device.

Hopefully this weekend, been a hectic few weeks for me and I haven't been able to sit down and get em done, but the parts are here, just a matter of making some progress.
