Why not a "Flame powered vaporizers" section?

Flame powered is a broad enough section to warrant a subcategory IMO. The last and most used flame powered vaporizers rival with most desktops and portables in vapor production and flavour, and the type of usability that flame based vaporizers provide is quite different than any other...

Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects

That chart reflects the temperature at which most of that compound is extracted but it usually starts at a lower temperature and continues until a slight higher temperature, it's a curve, higher in the middle, for each cannabinoid. So, if you vaporize at 160ºC you extract all that is beneath...

Pure convection - To grind or not to grind ?

Reading the last responses, it seems the message is not 100% understood. I'll clarify my point of view: One thing is the complexity of the flavour in one hit (let's say its the first), its nuances, is it floral, minty, fruity or earthy, etc The other thing is the amount of all cannabinoids...

Why not a "Flame powered vaporizers" section?

I agree with you. A flame powered section makes a lot of sense: triihouse vapes, vapman, vapcap, lotus, vaponic, vapocane, gn0me, vaporgenie, lithe.

Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects

That's because the cannabinoids in raw form are not "active", they need to be carboxylated which happens when you heat it. The terpenes are always "active", hence the smell and taste is present until the first few hits when it is all extracted from the plant.

Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects

All cannabinoids are important, as well as the remaining terpenes and bioflavonoids. CBD is extremely important, and not just when you use cannabis medicinally. Mankind, as always, is too arrogant to understand the implications of its actions and fail to see its consequences when they perform...

Need help deciding what vape fits my needs, please.

Get a Lotus Kit, a j-hook and a bubbler and you'll be set. Only vape i ever use at home, fast, strong and tasty. You can also take it with you if you go hiking or camping, or in a nice dinner at some friend's house.

    The Lotus Vaporizer

Where i live its the same. Outdoors i usually use my Vaponic as i can hide it in my hand. Gotten pretty good at it. :)

    The Lotus Vaporizer

It's nice to see more and more people enjoying the Lotus and what is has to offer. It's nice to see that more people are seeing the advantages of concentrated flame power to vaporize, it's portability and power. And how so many flame-powered vapes are the simplest and tastiest to use. After...

    Vapman vs Lotus?

get the metal one, you can get a j-hook just about anywhere. Any glass you have that is 14mm, is amazing with the water adapter. I use it dry. I plan on getting a vapman when i'm able but i don't think it will beat the Lotus in flavour or efficiency. It is certainly much more stealthy and fool...

    Praise the butane!

My Lotus replaced my desktops, i hardly use my HI now. Using it with a regular bong, my Ehle tube, is great. I use it dry. If i get a desktop it would need to be a big hitter, LSV for low cost units and a miniVAP or a Cloud for high cost unit are my choices if i had the money.

    Praise the butane!

Well, between the two, and regarding taste i really can't tell the difference. As for efficiency, refer to the post above. As for big hits, i find i can get bigger hits faster and easier with the Lotus. @RUDE BOY , i guess i wasn't so fortunate. My genie developed a somewhat stale taste...

    Praise the butane!

Yeah, the Genie is not on the list because i find the taste is not as good due to the butane exhaust but it is a very nice vaporizer IMO as well. (Still, the glass genie must have excellent taste. I had the wood genie. ) As for efficiency, it is a function of bowl size and % of conduction...

    Praise the butane!

Daisy, Lilly, Lotus, Vapocane, Vaponic, Vapman, Gn0me, Hammer. What to these vaporizers have in common? A lot! Let's see: 1. Very rich flavour 2. Excellent materials in the airpath - just glass, glass and wood 3. Portable 5. Light Weight 6. Small to Very Small 7. Vaporizes using convection...

Higher Cost Vaporizers Are They Worth It?

Most high priced vaporizers offer something low priced vaporizers don't but the most important is automatic temperature correction and preset temperatures, since it allows for a more efficient experience and a more accurate usage which is important for medical users. Other than that, i don't...

Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects

THC "turns" into CBN, not CBD. Usually, if a plant has a higher % of THC, it has less CBD to start with. The higher settings offer more sedative cannabinoids, which balances the THC effects felt at lower temperatures.

Anyone else have a really low tolerance?

Despite not being an absolute accurate percentage but according to experiments done by FC users, namely FredericMcguire, a 30% weight loss is the average in AVB.

Pure convection - To grind or not to grind ?

I also did not say it depends on the vape to be able to use whole herb or not. I said that a whole nug has flavours that are more noticeable than when you grind it. There are an array of terpenes present in cannabis and this complexity is more tasteable in an ungrinded nug. IMO. If that is...

Pure convection - To grind or not to grind ?

why does it depend on the vape? When you grind the nug you change the flavour to a more even taste. when you don't grind you taste the different terpenes better IME. And bear in mind, we are talking about pure convection vapes.

Pure convection - To grind or not to grind ?

It is more efficient to not grind. Also, the taste is more subtle, rich and much more complex if you don't grind. BUT, if you're going for thick milky hits from the start, you have to grind. Some argue there is more taste in grinded nugs, IMO there is more intense flavour due to a faster...
