Well, i think it has a lot do to with circunstances. The vapman for example, is one of the earliest vape in the market and only in 2015 has it received proper attention here, many many years after it has been around. And many people shy away from breakable vaporizers and manual style...

They make the worlds most expensive vaporizers, not the best... IMO. Grinding your nug is standard vaporizer procedure, but it still ruins the trichomes present in the bud... It is difficult for me to understand where does your confusion lie.
