My dry ice sift experiment worked out okay, but I do think a large amount of what I collected ended up being plant material (and residual moisture, since it was fresh frozen). Because it was my first time both dry ice sifting AND pressing hash/kief, I'm positive there were lots of errors...

Haha, I was in shock too! Hard to gauge from wet weight, but the plant was in a 100 gallon pot and was quite a bit taller than me (I'm 6'5"), and nearly as wide. Admittedly, I pushed the sifting a little farther than I normally would, started getting a bit of plant matter toward the end of the run.

Well, I harvested one of my outdoor Sunset Sherbet plants over the weekend. I decided to use this one purely for processing so I lopped off all the buds, did some light trimming, and threw them in the freezer. Got about 9 oz of dry ice sift and started pressing it with my dp-bj6t35 late...

Indeed. The best course of action would be to send it my way for immediate disposal.

I do understand this argument and it's a reasonable one. But, I'd need to see the data firsthand to be able to feel completely comfortable with it. I try to minimize over-exposure to well... just about everything I can... with the exception of coffee and cannabis :lol: Those are my two...

I have to agree so far, and I really meant to stay quiet until I had a few days under the belt but man... It's such an effortless, satisfying experience. I ran mine through the paces last night (I tend to use my vapes more at night to help with insomnia) and the part that stood out to me first...

So I just did some light testing with my 2-hole Purpleheart on Voopoo A1. I think I'll be perfectly happy with the 2-hole version... as I mentioned before, not interested in running this one through water and the airflow seems sufficient as is. I'm running it @ 50 watts, 395 degrees, TCR 2150...

Ah gotcha, yeah that's a little odd. He's an odd dude, though... but it seems like he's making an effort to streamline his business a bit more.

I'm not planning to use mine through water at all, so maybe it's a moot point. I mostly wanted the flexibility of being able to close off extra holes as needed... Maybe I'll check in with RBT about mine too. For the record, mine also rattles.

This is really the crux of why I've personally chosen not to risk it. SS cookware has been deemed safe and that may be enough to quell any concerns for some, but there are very few studies about the exact usage we're putting it through. I realize others don't have the same concern as I do...

I've seen pictures of collapsed coils after they've degraded/broken down, though. That material has to be going somewhere...

So, where do those degraded particles go?

Unfortunately it hasn't found a place in my lineup. I really wanted to like it (and still do on the conceptual level) but the potential health risk is a bit higher than my personal comfort tolerance, so I've moved on to other devices. Glad to hear it's what others are looking for, just not for me.

You're really not pushing more than about 50 watts to the StemPod, so the wattage doesn't matter after a certain point. The additional batteries will provide longer battery life, that's about it for our use.

Well... shit. Not exactly a deal breaker for those pieces, but sort of kills the portability for me. If I can get the fitment worked out, maybe I'll hang onto them for home use.
