Actually, no I hadn't considered that. I've only done that with my attempts making cartridges, but those always had terps mixed back in. If I go that route, any reason I wouldn't want to press at higher temps first for max extraction? I'm guessing it's going to end up on the sappy side...

Question for the pressing experts: I've always been a bit sensitive to using any form of cannabis via inhalation, whether it's smoke or vapor. I'm sure this is just something I'll have to deal with to a certain extent, but when dabbing rosin with what seems to be pretty high terpene content...

You know, I like it quite a bit, but it's a bit sensitive to splash-back. It needs a pretty specific amount of water to function correctly, which isn't difficult, but I may look at picking one of their versions with a recycler/incycler too.

I think the only thing that could potentially rip my quartz banger out of my hands is a Macor slim nail + SiC dish + Macor carb cap with angled hole. I'm assuming the cost would be fairly high, but the time I'd save with maintenance seems like it could be worthwhile.

I've seen similar comments about the number of spheres too, where adding more seems to disrupt terpenes. That makes a little more sense in my brain knowing what we do about how percolation affects terpenes, though, than the size/mass itself. That's interesting, hadn't considered that aspect...

Here's my latest experiment! Got a full opaque banger and gear inserts today to go with the frosted fab egg that came a week or two ago. The inserts fit really snug so cleaning after each dab might be an issue... but I've got her heating up right now so we'll see! :science:

I've been using the 30mm for a couple months now, with axial coil. I personally prefer it because it gives the oil a "track" to follow, and has great heat retention. Reminds me of a SiC donut dish. It does take slightly longer to heat soak but I generally let my rig sit for about 5 minutes or so...
