Personal preference, but I'd rather not have to change my patterns to suit my vape/accessories.
Instead, I'll either find another use or just get rid.
For the same reason, after a week of testing, I switched back to my showerhead yesterday and the VROD will be sold on sometime.
I think I've seen a short video of these crystals forming and was amazed. They just appeared like magic.
I wish I had access to all this new stuff, but I'm lucky if I can get hold of some decent flower
I prefer my ti bowl for flower because the screen stays in
For me, the ease of use outweighs the small increase in flavour.
I still use the glass bowls (without screens) when doing straight dabs though
Hi @710Coils , thanks for the quick reply.
I'll probably be ordering a set (coil, banger, clips, beads) as I've never used a banger before :)
I still need to find a reasonable priced bubble cap too
Just for fun, I tried swapping coils/controllers..
Until today I've been using an auber rdk300 with a new 20mm coil from vapefiend with the vrod.
550f was a good capped temp for even extraction of flower.
With the newvape controller and coil I'm now up to 620 capped for similar looking avb...
The axial coils sound interesting.
Will they be available in 220v?
Excuse the noob question, but how are the coils held on the banger? Are they just tightened around the glass?
Unfortunately I don't, I've only ever vaped rosin from quartz VapeXhale Evo nails and off the ti showerhead.
If I use a more free flowing piece/increase my draw speed, I get a charred ring and the centre of the load is less vaped.
There's no way of could vape flower with this vrod at 650 though.
It would be too charred and taste bad.
I'm at 550 and it's coming out just slightly lighter than ground coffee
I don't know what's wrong with my setup, there's no way I can twax with the quartz dish. :(
The differences in the temperatures needed are too great.
I can do double deckers in the bowl but I can do that with the showerhead too, without needing to carb cap
I'm finding anything over say 600 capped and the herb is too dark and charred and the vapour has an unpleasant taste.
If I use a faster draw to try to counter it, I just get a charred ring and a lighter centre again.
Dabbing on the vrod & quartz at the same temperature as flower (550) was a complete fail. It just kept going with wispy vapour and the number of hits hurt my throat and chest.
650 was a little better but still wasted some with pooling.
700 seems to work, but with less flavour.
More testing...
Carb cap arrived today (thanks @VapeFiend.com) and I managed to ditch work after lunch :)
I was surprised how light it is after only owning the shower cap before.
Still experimenting with the vrod and flower, but using the cap seems MUCH better to achieve an even roast.
I seem to have...
I think it was all the talk of SIC dishes lol
I'm not the most serious of dabbers, but just thought I might like to try the new version since it has nicer dabbing surfaces.
