Maybe they added a higher temperature for concentrates, that would be cool. It looks like your dial has very little space in between it, I like that-my old ti is the same, the newer ones used to have a gap.

I’ve had mine for around two years and I’ve had issues with it. However all those times I was able to bring it back to life and it’s still going strong. I am not a heavy user anymore if that makes a difference. I did use it every day for around one and a half years.
