There are a whole lotta variables in draw technique. If you're using a larger flame and holding it further away I can see how drawing harder might get you more heat. I usually use a tiny flame very close so drawing faster to get more cool air running through the chamber is how I usually think...

I snagged a power pack for a CCTV camera that works. It was from DHGate so I can't help on brand; you should be able to find them on EBay as well. I've also seen some universal DC power packs on Amazon that come with the right barrel connector among others.

Yep, I use a hydrotube with mine. Just takes a little more reconfiguring and care. I tamp the load a little and give the nong a gentle tap on the grinder to make sure I'm not gonna dump herb all over.

The amperage rating on the power supplies is the maximum A it's supposed to be able to draw at a time. The actual amperage that an UD draws is more like 0.5A. So the only people who need to worry about the amperage rating are the guys running multiple dogs on one supply. The voltage is the power...
