Adjusting the wattage in the Tubo firmware won't effect the temperature response, just the max power output. You should have tried playing with the resistance setting.

It's just one intensity. Drop the vapcap in, wait for the click and hit it. I've read about people heating a couple seconds past the click with IHs because the more ferrous indicating disc is heated faster than the rest of the cap but I haven't found it necessary.

Watching the live wattage I don't usually get it above 35-40W hitting it dry. It may take a second longer to heat up but it's still heating in like 5-10s. Either use warm up or just give the glass a couple seconds to heat soak and it's hard to overpower this heater.
