Haven’t tried the Brilliant. I started with a medium Cosmic 4pc, also have a Space Case small 2 pc. When I got the lg 4pc SCS, I have been quite happy with the grind, which is just perfect for my VC’s.

I don’t think that the v2 is lacquered...I believe that the Blackwood just has that natural, beautiful and fine finish. All of my Blackwood pieces look like that.

I don’t think any of us can do a direct comparison. There are so many variables, and I find my experience differing due to many factors....ambient temp, herb grind and moisture, pack density, draw technique...the list is extensive. For me, I get good weed, stored in C-vaults with 62% Boveda...

Start with wattage mode...best to learn the manual way before you move on to the automated stuff...IMHO. For my Elite, it’s 30 watts.

I use my low start and ramp up method to account for the differences in material consistency and moisture content. You can tell when it’s done, nice dark ABV...very efficient

With my Mighty and Crafty, I start at 345F and step up in 5 deg increments until done....usual amount in both is about .1 with a liquid pad on top.

Splinter has the Milaana heater, Z has the Zion heater. Z is taller and can handle more power. Both will melt your face...
