I completely agree. When I first got my IQ I only wanted to use it at high Temps. But since I've had it for a while now I find an occasion to use all of the smart paths and also Precision mode. I have to say it again, I love this device!

The only part I see an issue with is not cleaning it out after a session. Leaving herb sit in the oven as it cools just makes a mess that is too much of pain to deal with when the solution is as easy as wipe it out real quick with an ISO pad and the bristle brush after each session. I myself...

Atta Boy Randy! I'm sure you will be happy you did. Get the DaVinci glass spacers and the DaVinci smell proof carry case if they have it too! Perfect fit (even with the extended mouthpiece) and just enuf extra room for a few other necessities too! Good luck!

I dunno MicroMan, I think the fact that when u pull the battery out when the IQ is still at it's hottest and can hold both in your hand at the same time - the fact that the battery is MUCH cooler than the IQ is pretty good evidence that the heat is not from the battery. IMO of course.

I ended up measuring the pearl at roughly 11.11mm, FYI.

I was going to just put it in the oven on top of the herb and beneath the existing pearl - however, after finding the shipping to be worse than shipping from DaVinci, I opted to just order the glass spacers from DaVinci.

They are ZrO2 which is, I believe, the same material as the pearl - HOWEVER, I finally determined the size and identified the correct ball and the shipping to Michigan is $13.23. Back to the drawing board...
