I don't know too much about these o.pen carts but afaik, they don't have any temperature control options, I think you'd be best off staying on a low power setting if you're using them with an evic vtc mini. If you want to use temp control, a tank with replaceable coils is probably the best bet...

I tested the Crown 0.5ohm coils, it started getting a bit dry at 50W (about 5v). That was way more powerful than I like but the coils keep up well, assuming you're not chain-vaping it or taking really long hits.

Have you considered whether that burnt taste might be caused by a 'dry hit' as the device just can't get the liquid to the coil fast enough to keep up with how quickly it's being vaporised, or maybe the coil just can't hold enough liquid in the first place? I just saw this in the one hitter...

Sorry, I guessed you had some knowledge about it to have picked out those specific products but hard to estimate how much. Different tanks will use different coils and the sizes of the wicking holes on those coils will differ and that will effect how well the liquid is able to get to the coil...

I can't recommend the Subtank Mini, I tried it and found the wicking couldn't really keep up that well, it was usable but I had to be careful to not overdo it and get a dry hit, and it wasn't long before the wicking holes got completely clogged but then I guess a lot of that is down to your mix...

Yeah, it does seem rare for a lower capacity tank to have really good wicking, I guess you don't really need it with standard e-liquid if you're not sub-ohming. There's definitely a balance though, as I found with the Arctic tank which has ridiculously massive wicking holes on the coils, too...

Generally, sub-ohm devices will produce more vapour and allow more airflow so you can get bigger hits. The extra airflow also makes them better suited for 'direct lung inhale' hits where you breathe directly into your lungs, instead of 'mouth to lung' hits like you would if you were...
