Yes, when I said "jacking up" that was actually an all purpose term that included turning up the heat and trying the boost. I only tried the boost from 4-5 (but also took the temp setting up to 8 without boosting), because I was afraid of combusting.

Epic has good stuff. If I had to rate, I’d say: Big Bad Baptista is good. Big Bad Baptist is better. Triple Barrel Big Bad Baptist is very good.

Lucifer's by Latitude is good and the barrel aged version is even better. Their standout for me is the Red Beard's. And if you like coffee, the Founder's Sumatra Brown is quite good.

Sounds like you're in an area where you can also get Dark Horse Barrel Aged Plead the Fifth stout. Worth a try. In my opinion it beats KBS (and last year's Goose Island Bourbon County). This actually surprised me, since I like Dark Horse but I've never felt like they had a real standout.

Based on my experience, they will make good as soon as they can. They were very generous with their replacement unit for me and they shipped the unit prior to receiving my "faulty" unit.

I'm not passing judgement on either MV1; I'm merely making an observation that his clouds at 385 seem similar to mine on A1 (338F according to the app) and pales compared to A2 (365F) or A3 (392F). I do kind of wonder what firmware he was on when he did this. Additionally, the entire comparison...

He ran the MV1 at 385F. With the default temps, A3 is 392, so he was closer to A3 while getting vapor closer to what I get on A1 (don’t have it handy and I don’t recall the default temp for A1 but it was considerably lower than 385). Does that make more sense?

I feel like I get that amount of MV1 vapor he's showing on A1 and at 385F, he's much closer to A3 than A1 (for what it's worth...). Certainly get more than that on A3.
