As far as I can tell the colour change mentioned is not on the glass itself but on the flame of the torch. It goes from blue to orange when you're ready. So you would need a good torch and clean gas.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work like that, and repeated inbreeding doesn't usually increase the quality- often the reverse is the case and most of the great strains of the past are no longer that great because of that. I would guess that Jamaican Haze is a hybrid.
