Smaller? Comparing the caps and the bottoms there doesn't seem to be any difference in size. The cap from the old unit fits on the new unit fine. Its certainly hotter than my first one but I can easily be on the power 15+ seconds without combusting with a single s2 spacer and a fairly slow draw.
