I'm very leery of the Chinese fritted pieces. Maybe it's just me being paranoid but I just feel a lot more comfortable going with a US blower for that type of perc.

I joined in on the Simba mini Frit Oil Rig. Love the work on that piece...hopefully the one I get is similar.

That Simba fritted oil rig is really tempting me even though I told myself I was done buying glass until the law changes here. I really don't need any more expensive paraphernalia sitting around but that thing is nice and I have wanted to try a frit for a long time.

You're not totally wrong...I do find it works better if the oil is somewhat melted onto the coil. To do that I heat it up with nothing on it and then spread the dab on after it has mostly cooled. Just enough heat to melt the dab slightly so that it stays in place.

I don't get more vapor running .3-.5 but I find that it just performs better. Heats up quicker, vapes more completely and quicker. Kind of like the difference between Ti and Glass/Quartz nails. I feel with glass/quartz you need to kind of roll the dab on there for a few seconds to get it all...
