how is it fair for you to pay extra and wait more because of their QC fail? if this return policy holds i'm probably not going to buy dynavap again ... this is unacceptable to me. that's 5$ worth of tubing sold for 200$ ... it should be flawless at this price. they used to make up for QC issues...

i actually think the spiral angle difference in this pic is illusion caused by camera angle and tip angle of rotation. IME grooves are just a bit wider but much shallower/restricted. that's what affects airflow/perfomance.

i just want to be clear about the issue and get a straight answer. is this change intended or are those faulty tips? they make small changes all the time we already know that. but apparently new TI tips including the recent 7fins have shallow grooves, this logically(visibly) results is more...

so uh .. apparently George doesn't really understand where it all comes from regarding the recent TI tips with shallow grooves. 5.10 in the latest tea time stream he seems to think it's camera angles or some other illusion. perhaps we can help him out with some more feedback? also "here's...

unfortunately they do not. the shallow wider grooves make for a noticeably more restricted flow. this seems to be the new intended design. i was somewhat able to compensate this with a new 2020 cap which seems to be a bit larger ID than previous gen caps. edit1 dynavap CS asking the customer to...

flow is a matter of bottleneck really IMO. if you have top notches, the grooves outside become the most important aspect. if those are deep enough it's the bottom edge. or vice versa ... ofc the glass OG has none of those and still works surprisingly well. the difference in airflow between...

that's why i was thinking maybe offering more cap versions (open/closed airflow, old double click etc) with the current shallow groove design. presumably caps should be easier to manufacture than tips. and easier to configure for the user (faster to swap a cap than a tip).

yes actually the 18SS tip is a pretty good comparison for how they perform and feel in use (the shallow grooves tips). do you remember how filing grooves for more airflow in the 18 tips lead to the upgraded the design in 2019 with more open airflow? heck one of the key selling points of the TI...

the deeper and narrow channel has indeed more airflow. i can tell by testing a 2018 and 2019 TI tip vs the shallow groove 2020 7fin 1= most open / 3 = most restricted airflow

since the old (deep cuts) design cost more, removing less material presumably means reduced stress on tools / item therefore cost-cutting. but i agree saying this is the reason is jumping to conclusions. the new shallow groove design was confirmed by dynavap apparently. due to the shallow...

IME omni 2018-2019 has more open airflow compared to the 20M. where do you keep reading about the opposite? also if you like the pretty colors titanium can be anodized and/or heat treated. edit: new versions of omni, hydravong and dynacoil in the works i think, new version M possibly announced...

@Smokey McVape it's one of the 77.77 gifted tips. they seem to have spent more time than usual in the polishing machine which could account for the loss of definition on the top cut-out. but the picture makes it look worse than it actually is. the air channels are shallower and the flow is much...

interesting. ty for clarifying. not sure how that would work with TI tho. anyway looks to me like the 7 fin has 2 distinct grooves. i'm using mesh screens in the smallest setting lately and they are very securely stopped in that groove (they look exactly like the ones on the older TI tips...

what do you mean @TommyDee? it has 2 grooves like the 20M instead of 3 like the older TI versions (the useless middle one was deleted). thinking it's intentional and i like the change.
