    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

My Oct 31 order for 4 batteries has still not been shipped. As of Nov 4 she said they are waiting for a new batch to come in. Has anybody been receiving their order for batteries?

I charge whenever I want. Usually right after a session If I can. Wait to cool down first though.

I ordered batteries on October 31. After a few days of status "In Progress" sent an email asking for status. About for days after the email Caroline replied saying that they were currently out of stock and will ship once they get them in. No date given.

There is no such thing as a Standard Li-ion. That is a big misconception. Li-Ion is the type of battery cell and they can have many different chemistry. You need to see the specs to see what type it is. If a battery just says Li-ion on it and not the chemistry it would be a huge mistake to...

18650's are all the same voltage, 3.7v. It will not be a concern.

You want an IMR battery with 20A continuous discharge. Sony, LG and Samsung have good ones nowadays with 3000mah.

IMR's are Li-Ion. Because they just say LI-Ion and thats all they could be any chemistry. But because of the application, high drainage, high amps and high temp the only real logical choice would be IMR. They would be foolish not to. And as I said before looking at the pic of the vented...

Well that sucks. I have given up on purchasing vapes that don't have replaceable batteries.

Does it have replaceable 18650? I hope so if battery life is worse than the Crafty. Also is the airflow better than past FM vapes like the 5.0? With convection it seems decent airflow is a must.

IMR, ICR, INR, etc are all Li-ion cell batteries. IMR's are safe chemestry. li-ion's like ICR that are not safe chemistry tend to have protected circuits in them because their venting can be catastrophic. In the e-cig world whether you are using a mechanical mod or regulated mod IMR's are...

@Icon13 and as you can see by this picture my IMR battery has the plastic disc. https://goo.gl/photos/xrPSkSQeteyRH5hm7

I have about 25 IMR batteries at home for my e-cigs. All of them have that groove. And when taken apart they usually have a plastic disc. Here is a pic from my e-cig battery, IMR and with the groove. https://goo.gl/photos/ioebgLDizkLf5ZUT9

In fact you can tell the difference between IMR and regular li-ion by their venting. IMR vent in a controlled manner with little destruction of the battery casing. For the most part they just bloat up as seen in the pic. If these were li-ion the damage to the battery would have been more...

The GHB batteries must be IMR since this image of a shorted GH battery, http://imgur.com/2KmUGFO, vented properly.

These do not have PCB's. They are most likely IMR safe chemistry batteries and do not have PCB's and IMR's are used almost exclusively in the e-cigarette industry. They better be IMR's. All the battery protection will be in the GH.

GH should make the cutoff at 3.5-3.6v. These batteries go from 4.2v to 3.7v very quickly and hang around 3.7v the longest. They are wasting a lot of battery cutting it off too early. You could get at least another bowl or more if they did and it would not harm the battery at all. But the...

Has anybody bought new batteries from GHL recently and are they the new GHB2 batteries? If so do you notice any improvement? 2 of 3 of mine only last a little over one small bowl now, and this after only two months.

Rule of thumb should be if your backend only gets as hot/warm as the body of the GH then its normal heat transference and your ok. If the backend gets hotter than the body than you have an issue. No need to measure the temp.
