New torch...had to get something to hold me over until my envelope arrives. this torch is cool as fuck...circular sriker, like a box and the dial in the middle locks the flame, so you don't have to hold anything down while you use it. And the flame is super skinny and precise don't know...

it makes perfect sense...my beta hydro brick has a hole that is slightly off and it has the same issue. I'm just surprised a production unit has that issue, just because they machine so well over there. I just let it be and it hasn't progressed past the initial scortch I'm a beta unit...

I would try a couple new batteries for sure, but get them from different guaranteed legitimate vendors (one here,one there) to limit bad batches..ect. make sure the nipple on the copper door that touches the battery isn't badly scratched. outside of that I would ask @KeroZen

yea, I've been pretty all over with my sh*t lately... when is the last time you switched out batteries...as in brand new batteries? if your batteries are low and it's taking longer to heat your coil, it will cause that resulting hit to get too hot, too fast...when your already drawing slow...
