    Auber Instruments RDK200 e-nail

I would write the owner about all the issues you're having. Doesn't sound like a refined $300 nail to me. You could own a D-Nail SiC halo, quartz halo, slim series base and sapphire insert for cheaper. :2c:

Sounds like it takes a really long time to get the Liger insert to the max temp for the given set temperature. Try setting the temperature then leaving it for 15 or 20 minutes before taking a dab. That should allow the quartz dish to soak in the heat until it's at max temp for the given set...

I don't have a Mighty or an herb attachment but maybe a Mighty oil pad with the dab placed in it used in the herb attachment would work, too. Or these

I literally just did a dab off SiC/slim series on my high5 unit before reading this. They work great together. They also produce very flavorful hits together. The airway with this setup is pure ti grade 1. The coil sits outside of the airway heating the dish from below. FYI all hot...

I don't think your issues are with the Auber controller. Sounds like a poor design from how you"re describing the Liger but maybe @mrbonsai420 will stop by with suggestions on Liger temps/usage as he's the Liger pro around here.

Interesting. Have you tried starting at your wispy hit temp and working your way up in 5 - 10 degree increments? Make sure to allow the dish to heat up for 5 - 10 minutes after raising temps so the heat can soak into the entire dish.

I use a high5 as much as a d-nail 1.2 with no noticeable difference in performance. The high5 will drop 10 - 15 degrees during a dab before the heat starts catching back up while the d-nail drops 5- 6 but you can't tell a difference other than pid readings. Their coils are nice too. I ordered...

I don't own a Liger but I can try to help what seems to be the problem with it?

Hey there Auber owners.:) If your unit has trouble reaching high temps like mine did enter access code 177 and change IEg from 40 to 100. So much better. Also, if you want your unit to reach the set temperature quicker try reducing the I value under access code 166. I reduced mine...

The discussion on the slim series assembly seemed off to me as the heater retainer is only 21 or 22 mm (don't have one right in front of me so can't measure) meaning if you use it to evenly distribute heat across the dish you would only be heating the inner 2/3 of the dish leaving the outer rim...

Definitely. Tweezers are a necessity it you have sapphire inserts. I'm still not convinced that what you're talking about is convection. The air isn't just sitting in the dish and getting hot, vortexing. Your pulling a vortex of room temp air into and through the dish. No cap necessary...

No difference in taste on the halos. I can tell that the D-Nail carb cap helps vaporize the oil much more completely and provides thicker hits. I feel this is due to the vortex action produced by the d-nail cap. IMO right now the domeless.com nail with either the iDab or Hive carb caps...

It's my back-up but it works well with the halo dishes. The D-Nail carb cap is really worth the wait imo. I believe the gen 2 carb cap is supposed to be in stock this week .. maybe contact d-nail and see if it'll be in stock soon. Or if you just want to go with the hive cap it's much cheaper...

That appears to be a Chinese e nail kit labeled D-Nail. I think Auber or High5 would be a better option than that one. High5 uses the same pid and you could order it with a flat coil for $112 then buy yourself a D-Nail SiC halo w/ slim base for cheaper than that kit.

I'm still playing around but I'm at 690 right now on the quartz and usually run the SiC between 640 and 666. I'm not sure about finer particles ... maybe. I do think the SiC halo produces thicker hits and seems to be better for globs. This is the one you're looking for but your dabber will...

The 710 whip works well with the HE Infiniti but I would also suggest going with the SiC halo from D-Nail. They work very well together as is. You'll have to torch the SiC dish when you want it clean because the 710 whip doesn't get hot enough to clean it but torching isn't a problem with SiC...

I dialed mine in at 1.27 last night with an ir gun. Going to pick up a k type thermometer off amazon today. Cleaning temp is now 800, dabbing temp 540ish, set the temp limiter at 840 just in case. Now the display fairly accurately reads the temp of the SiC dish. Wish I'd originally gotten an...
