    next generation e-nails?

Yeah it does fit together better the other way but that was D-Nail themselves who you are quoting there. I just leave the big washer out of the assembly completely on my slim series as I don't want to mess with the heat distribution and like the nut to thread on a bit more than it does with the...

    next generation e-nails?

I don't use my 710 whips much because they don't get hot enough to clean the nail. Once the nail gets gunked up you can turn the heat on any other unit up to 950 F and the build-up burns off in 15 or 20 minutes. If you don't dab much this might now be as big of an issue. The 710 whip is...

    next generation e-nails?

No not any domeless nail will work. That nail is made to work with the 710 whip and flat coils. It has a retaining nut underneath the dish to hold the flat coil in place. In the video he's using a 710 whip controller and heater but the flat coil will sit exactly how he has the ceramic heating...

Interesting. My shell never becomes snug on the banger at all. It's intentionally made larger than the banger so that when expansion and contraction happens it doesn't squish down on the quartz. You should contact Josh.

For cheapest I'd say go with the UNSLOTTED domeless.com ceramic nail, the high5 controller and flat coil, and an iDab carb cap. It should come up to just under $200. I run my high5 24/7 quite a bit of the time and haven't had an issue and the pid functions great out of the box. I'm sure the...

    next generation e-nails?

The titanium shell has two functions. First, it disperses the heat evenly across the banger and second it protects the banger from breakage. With the typical e nail banger you need to remove the coil during cool down or risk the banger being crushed as the coil cools. The titanium shell on...

    next generation e-nails?

No. I wedge the coil between the banger and the rig so it has nowhere to go. No slipping, sliding or issues.

Yeah the turtle banger works great. Flavor is really good and with the storm cell it's a really efficient little nail. Due to the titanium sleeve the banger is much skinnier than a typical banger would be so make sure you get the 20mm if you get one. I think the 16mm would be almost unusable.

    Underdog Log Vapes

@underdog have you ever put together a pid controlled UD?:worms: I'm currently working on putting together a 12v e nail controller (just waiting on a couple parts) and the thought has crossed my mind more than once to use the controller with an UD. A 4 pin mini XLR connector could be used in...

The rdk 200/300 works well with the flat coils from d nail but I've never tried it with the lotus so I can't say how they'd do together. Think you'll have to be the guinea pig on that one but it should work fine. If you do get the Auber there are 2 settings I'd suggest you tweak with a little...

    next generation e-nails?

The pin layout on the High5 units is different than D-Nails layout so they're not compatible together. That's why High5 says the warranty is void if you use other manufacturers coils on their unit. Auber uses the same pin layout as D-Nail and would be compatible with the Lotus and D-Nail...

    next generation e-nails?

The turtle bangers are only $34 on their website. FYI the Ninja Nail Mini uses an XMT 7100 pid. The same pid that high5 uses in their cheap unit. The high5 portable unit is $244 with a coil, warranty and superior PID. :2c: Health stones are inert as they're just porous ceramic. They are...

You aren't doing it wrong. The sapphire is intended to be an insert to dab off of and in the description on the d nail site they actually say not to remove the insert until the nail is fully cool though many of us do. Bubbleman came up with the thermal radiation style hits with the sapphire as...

Had there been private info in her email I would have definitely not posted it. Instructions for proper assembly of the slim series bases didn't strike me as confidential  Perhaps the reason the outer wall of your quartz halo isn't conducting heat well is because the big washer doesn't...

    Auber Instruments RDK200 e-nail

Yeah auber coils work with the d-nail halo/slim series. They're both great units. I guess it comes down to the options that you want. The high5 would be the cheapest and gets up in temp quickest out of the units I own but the Auber gets to temp quickly too with a little tuning. The Auber's...

    next generation e-nails?

I've settled on 885 F and just use it for small dabs. I still get vapor trails at that temp but hits seem to start to taste like ass any higher than that. Ceramics keep up with big dabs at low temps way better imo. Edit: ^^^ 685 F not 885 F

Try this ... with the unit on hold the knob down for 5 seconds until LCK (lock) pops up in the coil temperature display. Then scroll to 177 on the set temperature display and click the knob. PEG will show up in the coil temperature display box. Click the knob once and IEG will show up in the...

I was simply throwing out there that if he was able to get a refund he could buy the entire flat coil line from D-Nail. Just trying to help. @Gonzo_da_wind does the display say that your coil is resting at the set temperature or below it? If it says the actual temperature is lower than...
