Totally agree about the sensitivity. I usually run between 11 and 13v, depending on beginning or ending a session, and the distance from the top of the stem to the top of the herb.

OK, start temp was 70, set voltage at 12.5, 10 minute timer, no cap, end temp was 110. Will report back after cool/reheat with cap. :)

I've got a laser thermometer. a little less accurate maybe, but I can pinpoint any spot I want. I was planning on aiming straight down the middle, and reading the mesh screen in the heater.

Hehe, yeah. I thought about that for a minute when I wrote it. The way I look at it, I'm nourishing it with wax and oil, so there is some sort of sustainability that I loosely thought of as life. Clearly I was then, and am still rather lifted. ;)
