    Virtual Banquet Thread

Ain't been on in quite some time. Had another major spinal surgery a few months back. This is the first thing beyond an omelette that I've made since- butter scones. It ain't the French or smoked or fusion fare I would normally post, hope to be able to stand long enough to cook like that...

Comic Books (And The Movies / Shows Based On Them)

I couldn't finish any of the Secret Wars main event or tie-ins. And I wasted money on ALL of them, they take up more than a whole long box. And Marvel has not really done well since then. Cancelled all but two of my Marvel subscriptions. DC has been outselling them for the first time in...

Comic Books (And The Movies / Shows Based On Them)

Things been dormant here for a bit. Even my cosplaying ass ain't been up to that much. Having another spinal surgery in May, the pain is making doing things difficult. Anybody seen the horror that is Iron Fist? Bruce Lee is spinning in his grave. On the upside, though it was painful, got a...

The Official FC Pets & Animals thread

Spoke to the veterinary neurologist about CBD and other cannabis-based treatments. His concern is proper dosage. Apparently the research on it is being done now. My vet is making enquiries in the local pet fostering community for me. She is also talking to her staff to see if anyone there...

The Official FC Pets & Animals thread

He was crate trained, and I still have his crate. But he's almost 80 pounds now, and when I'm in my office I tend to be gone for 12-14 hours. Feel like it'd be cruel to crate him that long. When I first crate trained him I had a dog walker who came in the middle of the day, then I found out...

The Official FC Pets & Animals thread

Soooo....my dog has recently begun having seizures, has now been diagnosed as epileptic. According to the veterinary neurologist, a lot of the behavioral issues I've had with him (difficulty housebreaking, freaking out when anyone comes over) are probably related to the epilepsy. And now a new...

Some Tex Mex tacos (didn't have the right ingredients for proper Mexican tacos). Pork loin marinated in olive oil, garlic, cumin, black pepper, and sriracha. With salsa (tomatoes, tomato puree, anchos, jalapenos, onions, garlic, cilantro), some sour cream, and avocado. Tortillas were store...

Comic Books (And The Movies / Shows Based On Them)

Folks seen Doctor Strange yet? Most psychedelic super hero movie ever (as it should be). Entire sequences lifted right out of the original Ditko run. Looks more like the underlying comic than any other Marvel flick. Unnecessary variances from the comics in some places, but still fun on a bun...

let me know how that is. I have the first issue bagged and boxed but it didn't thrill me and didn't get the rest. Now that I've read Blackest Night considering giving it another try, despite it being JJverse (Beyond helps with that). Also, unrelated -

Comic Books (And The Movies / Shows Based On Them)

On the subject of actual comic books- DEAR LORD, just finished reading Geoff John's Green Lantern run, including Blackest Night, which may be the best crossover ever written. And I'm a Marvel fan saying this. If you haven'd done so, go read his Lantern starting with Green Lantern Rebirth. It...

Agree with others- both. I usually rub for a minimum of 24 hours, and then glaze at the end of smoking. Or if you're feeling extra adventurous, you can do a wet brine instead of a dry rub. But that is easier to mess up (and I usually only do that with beef ribs).

The cloak really does look natural with that whole get up, don't it? I usually have an Eye of Agamotto with it too but my damn chain for it broke that morning. Though HeManPool was quite muscular, I'm pretty sure he padded his thighs.
