OF has pretty much given you the straight poop, but I wanted to add a little bit. One slightly different method for step two is to take "mouth hits" until you see some vapor in your exhale. Like you're puffing on a pipe or cigar while lighting it. So you do your step one and let the Cera core...

Foghat & Rocco: Just a warning. The day before yesterday I blew out one of my LV DART cores by putting it on my T1 handle (which had two RCR123A batteries, i.e., 6v). I was already stoned medicated at the time, and accidentally grabbed the wrong core... It gave me two or three really great...

We really brutalize our batteries. A 15W Cera core draws a little over 4 amps. For a 600mAh 14500 IMR that's almost 7C. It's a wonder our batteries last more than three or four cycles. :) As JKA mentioned, it's nice to hear that a Mini Cera might be available long before the end of the year...

No, alas, that's one thing that only lasted for the first couple of loads, even with PG. My top ceramic piece is black. Still absorbs the PG fine when warm, but the glowing coil can really only be seen on the open sides of the ceramic now.

One DART core I have has a little over 20 grams of Pure Gold through it so far, and it still works great. I clean it every five grams or so worth, with a soak in 95% ethanol, including blowing ethanol through it via a tube, which helps clean out the four air input holes in the bottom and some of...

As Furianlord mentioned, you should position the negative lead on the threads, not the body. And I can't quite make out the dial on your DVM, but it appears that your meter is set to auto-range ohms, which is one of the reasons it's taking so long to come to a reading. If your meter supports a...

Double check with OF, who is in close contact with TET, but as far as I recall, the last message from OF (and Tim?) indicated that the EL core would use the most power (meaning it will have the lower resistance). I also recall that the EL core was 16W and the EO core was either 15W or 14W...

The discharge curves I have are for the protected versions of the -PD (and the -B). I think using an unprotected (non-IMR) battery is a very BAD idea. The curves I sent you with the -PD were with a protection circuit installed on the top of the cell. If one were foolhardy enough to run the -PD...

I wonder if what's happening is that a super fine grind allows a bit to fall through the holes in the bottom of the LL bowl, and once inside the oven, they combust against the coil or the ceramic, which inside the oven, is hot enough to support combustion. Then at the next inhale, the now...

They don't work nearly as well as the LiFePO4 based cells that TET recommends for the T1. (If you're looking at Tenergy's, they're the ones with the green band at the bottom). Here's an amazon link for them. ha! ninja'd

Relevant to any of the threads as all the different TET "handles" hold batteries. Most Lithium batteries come from the manufacturer with a 40% to 60% charge. This also happens to be the best charge to leave your Lithium batteries for extended storage (some say extended in this case = months...

Glad to see that no one should accidentally boil their core in Iso anymore. :) There is a decided lack of prepositions in the wording, but I'll keep my editorial comments to myself. I did see one more typo. At the very end, in the "C. Loading Cera E-Liquid" section, Item #2, you have an extra...

Good news then. I suggest you exchange it for the one you wanted (the LV). Also, keep up the conversation with OF about the best handle/battery for your needs. He is much better versed in the different options, and what will work, than I am. As he said, "This is tough duty."

Me: Did Tim give you any feeling for when TET might be able to take a breath and actually make some adapters for us 510 users? I thought that the batteries and the latching switches were a delivery problem, not something they had to take any more time designing or building. Since they must...

OF has answered most of your questions, I think, but let me make sure I understand what you said. You bought a Revolution LV core, which turned out to be a Revolution SV core. Was the only thing you purchased a Revo core, or did you get a core and "handle" with battery to screw the core into as...

My little Beast box will deal with 1.2Ω (and less) just fine, but the heat and mass of the Cera oil core (even the Ti version which is what I'm planning on getting) is more than I want to subject the little plastic box to. It holds up to the DART heat, but it still worries me. The 20W custom...

Hi Tim! You might want to change two things in the instructions pdf you linked to. One is a silly typo, in the caption for the top right picture, where you say "Depressn and hold switch..." you probably want to remove the trailing "n" in Depress. The other is more important. And yes, I...
