The titanium tube does feel a bit tight. Try moistening the o-ring with a bit of saliva on the end of your finger.

I don't think it's critical. The larger one keeps the unit from simply sliding through and the smaller one helps the seal and keeps the CU centered in the stem tube.

I've had difficulties with the TM ordering process before, and more times than not have had to go to the financial service to override the problem. It happened again yesterday but I got through and I'm very glad to say that I received this confirmation... ...before they were "out of stock".

I used to use it and had no problem, as I tend to space my hits out, giving the unit a chance to cool a bit. But I always had this nagging concern (probably unwarranted) about particles of weed falling into the oven. A j-hook lets me use the TM upside down so that's no longer an issue.

You can put them in the cooling unit, or you can put them between two basket screens. The short airflow isn't affected that much.

As you've noticed, there's a certain amount of play in the stem socket. If you remove the stem and look into the housing, are the screen and metal tube centered over the heater coil?

Wow...hadn't been to FC in a few days – and now there's a TM2 on the horizon! I guess that means on my horizon! Now, I always liked the oak, but the other improvements more than outweigh the wood factor. This is great news and my respect for the manufacturer has grown even more.

Possibly, but as others have pointed out, finger friction alone can seat the top and remove it. Personally, I use a wide screwdriver bit which fits the slot snugly. I was kidding about the nice Finnish coin but I don't see how a scratched slot would affect the vape's performance. I've found...
