So badly tempted by one of these guys at the moment, look nice and portable and fairly robust! Do both the 14 and 18 have the same build deck? Are they both capable of using dosing capsules?

Aye the 510 is notoriously short on the r200s, I had lots of attys back in the day that i couldnt screw all the way down for fear of pushing that pin in. I also get overheats with it when using dcv2 on it without heat Sink, but have had no trouble using it with my sai (with heatsink) or...

A helpful tip for some - the ddave custom water wand for the vapcap (the short one) is a perfect adapter for a hydrotube on the sticky brick. It fits exactly in the mouth piece hole and sticks up just far enough for the joint to go fully into the tube!

Sorry if this is a bit of a dead horse, but is the only difference between the v1 and v2 splinter Zs the wood type? I know in the normal splinter there was the mica thing, but not sure with the Z!

Looking great @brainiac ! I remember @blokenoname showing me a way of mitigate that same issue by wrapping extra wire around a screw fixed in the base of the log all acting as a heat sink. Clever stuff!

So, my Ti bucket and my quartz bucket have, functionally, the same resistance, 0.68 on the quartz, 0.72 on the Ti. Is that right? I keep seeing most people saying it should be around the 0.5 mark? Had trouble vaping with the quartz last night, had to turn the temp on my mod up to the top...
