When I use the port I tend to feather it, almost tapping on it, it feels like there is a little boost in the action of going from high pressure to low pressure, so I don't block mine permanently, iv tried portless stems, but prefer having the option to control manually.

I run my 18 a bit lower, around the 42 watt mark, but also just rotate the stem (i hate stirring) and get a nice even roast.

Didn't notice any other settings had changed apart from my Tubo logo is now gone, but that will be pretty easily rectified by just plugging it in again and loading the logo into the installer. Nothing else noticeable but who knows what is going on under the hood!

Ok, anyone else having issues with the new Tubo firmware? Now when I cruise with mine the coils glow up orange! Never had that before so turned it straight off! Edit: I have now changed the Eco level to 3 and no more glowing coils! That's a relief. Will have to experiment between each level to...

To be fair the instructions on the Lamart website are super thorough, you just need the right files + installer which is all linked there. Though I fully understand, no way I would want to risk turning my Tubo into a brick! Failing that, which side of the real world are you on?

Grabbed the most recent update for my OG Tubo, with the flipped buttons, thanks for keeping our Tubos fresh @funkyjunky! The update seems to have fixed my 'weak battery' issue too. Looking forward to taking it for a spin tonight!

As a design choice I have *always* preferred slide in tips to slide over tips, purely for the ease of one handed use!
