I will sometimes do short presses on the button near the end of the session to finish it off. Once the unit is all warmed up it doesn't need much to get the heat up there.

I would suspect that because the vapor is fairly difficult to feel because it is cool, what you are experiencing is that after you release the button tends to be where you start to notice your lungs are filling with the vapor. There was vapor production during the button press but wasn't evident...
