Agreed. I would much rather pay them directly but the shipping is absolutely outlandish and I end up going to other sites. Bad business in my opinion, otherwise they would get more orders from me. Love 7th Floor, but I'm not an idiot. I'm not paying crazy shipping rates when I don't have to at all

I have had phenomenal success with 7th Floor customer service. I highly encourage you to use the email address and not the web form. Anytime I have had an issue it was resolved quickly and without issue.

Is this a Standard Glass wand or Ground Glass? Less really is more, I would try about 1/4 full. If you are combusting at 10, it seems strange that 9 is not hot enough?

I wouldn't be looking for cloudy hits, necessarily. There is no good medium between temperature at click at temp at 10?

Try turning it on only to the point it clicks, and use it at that temperature. See what happens. It is a simple machine, so it is a matter of where the knob (potentiometer) is set to. If you can achieve a good temperature, I wouldn't worry about what position you get it at. Did you try it at 9...
