This is funny. Just a couple of days ago, I asked René if it would be possible to use thin aluminum or silver instead of Mica. Wouldn't it be awesome to have an Ebony vapman with Silver heat shield? Man that would be cool! I don't know if the metal would transfer too much heat to the wood...

By the way... I've seen this Multi Tool + Jet Lighter at the checkout trap in Walmart, for about $6 I haven't tried it, but it may be worth a try for someone who's in desperate need of a torch lighter. If anyone is brave or (deperate enough) to try it, please report back. Peace :peace:

This is great! It means that anyone can get a new crucible with air tubes attached and fix his own vapman - even on Classics (Mica)! I thought that if you sanded the mica in the middle, it would come loose and expose the wood there in the center... I think I see the wood in the center, but...
