Good idea if you are out of warranty, but otherwise, I'd rather just get a new replacement from S&B instead of possibly voiding the warranty.

Try the bottle cap method, which eliminates that screw. It does seem to act like a heat sink.

Historically, they have not advised what exactly was changed between each update, with the exception of the noticeable changes like the plastic reinforcement around the bowl and faster power button response.

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

You are right, but just seems suspicious.

Only by sending in to S&B. Usually, they will just send a replacement unit.

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

I just noticed this on eBay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Grasshopper-Vaporizer-Free-Priority-Shipping-/141856202912?hash=item210749e0a0:g:zaEAAOSwYaFWdHNL Buy it now for $500, but take note of the eBay account name and the fact that a battery is NOT included. If this is GHL taking advantage of...

Unfortunately, his experience with the Crafty does echo what quite a few have experienced regarding the longterm reliability of the device. I myself have had to have my Crafty replaced due to the flashing yellow and red lights of death 4 times, once for a broken power button, and just recently...

You are correct. In fact, for extended battery life, it is recommended not to use while charging.

    Firewood Vaporizer

Does anyone else that has a firewood also have a Cloud or Evo? I have noticed that the Elbs from the Cloud are the exact same length as the FW capsule. I am trying to find a way to attach a piece of silicone to the end of the elb to make a mouthpiece in case my glass capsule should break...

This will be the 6th replacement and I'm sure that had something to do with it. I will definitely mention this next time my Crafty fails and hope for the same service.

Following up on my previous post regarding my interaction with S&B. I had sent them an email on Monday advising that my Crafty that was received the previous Thursday does not consistently give the vibration feedback when reaching temp or turning on and off. I requested they ship a new...

Hopefully you purchased from a friend in case you need to use warranty service as you will not be covered should a problem arise.

I received my 5th replacement Crafty last week and it is already not functioning properly. The vibration feedback does not work. I am going to request they ship another replacement before sending this one back as the failure rate on this unit is becoming unacceptable.

I generally get about 15-18 decent draws with stirring so as I said it is recommended. Maybe give it a try? While I do agree some may get away without stirring, most will agree it is required with the Elevape and that was my original point.

I do use the bottle cap screen, but still find my herb is much more evenly extracted without any charring by stirring. If I were to hit my ESV 3 times in a row without a stir, the third hit would be very wispy. After stirring the herb, the next one or two hits will be nice and coudy. YMMV.
