It will work I have used it with my dnail sic dish. It seals decently but it can slide off and you basically have to hold the dabber the whole time no hands free dabs.

I have had my SiC dish for almost 3 years. I have scraped the crap out of it with ti and stainless dabbers to clean carbon build up out of it. I have yet to scratch it. It looks as good as day one once clean.
