Seems to be working fine at half the price and includes adaptor. My lower quality plug and the wires are slightly warm. Between fine tuning the placement of the cuts, the extra balls (only 6 grams at first), better build (very loose balls at first), and the pre-heated air from the shield...

Sliced off a piece of one of those large plugs above, Maybe I'll get another water pipe so I can use a proper shield. Good plan for mine.

Thank you thank you thank you. What do you think of my holder? Only 1.5" dia, any bigger wouldn't work with my rig. Couldn't get your o-rings to fit. You can see the silicone I trimmed to fit.

Broke my heater core before I could get it in the holder. =( Hope they get some replacements in stock.

Yes Using the horizontal slits. You can see the ceramic bulb holder through the slit. I liked the longways slits but I dropped it and it broke. Never tried it stock. :uhoh: Another reason I did this is so I can put it in a sealed bottom heat shield.

Finally, I got it right. Reassembled for the fifth time. 8 grams of ruby balls, bulb centered perfectly and everything packed nicely all the way at the end of the tube. I only thought it was working good before. 6.15V is giving me full extraction and toasty brown AVB. Won't have to take this...

Dr Dabber Switch with SiC cup. Back-up...Divine Tribe V4 w/polished SiC cup.

I only had 6g of balls in it so I added another gram or two. I'm down to 6.8V and hitting better than it was at 7.3. Balls aren't loose like they were but I had to push the screen back about 1/4" to fill some space. Couldn't get the bulb up any further. Friday I'll put it in a heat shield.

Works great. I am at a higher voltage 7.2-7.3, am I close to the danger zone? I'm doing some more tinkering friday which should get the voltage down. Will post results.
