yes, with no cooling chamber attached. just look at any of the miniVAP milk vids posted by @Roger D to see the no lid miniVAP technique. then, instead of a lid-less miniVAP, use a Crafty/Mighty with no cooling unit. voila. nearly 100% convection

you can also use the Crafty in exactly the same way that you would use a miniVAP with no lid! works great and you get a different experience due to the almost total lack of conduction

it's been reported (by some FC members and Vapornation themselves) that the glass core adds some conductive heating to the MV as opposed to the teflon core which is/was nearly 100% convection. the two teflon units I had preserved flavor throughout the session, better than any other vape I have...
