I would try the spring first before dropping $ on the warranty. My spring has collapsed a few times exactly how you've described & all I needed was a stretch back in the right direction or a new one. If the problem persists, you likely blew your top.

Thank you for correcting me on the v3. But understand that the short protection is needed for the herc & is a lot more convenient than blowing your top. The persei can't automatically tell what cart you're putting on it, so the short protection feature isn't going to magically turn off just...

Its just the super sensitive short protection. All is good with your persei, you just have to wait for the new tops or grab a v3 right now through the warranty system.
