More than likely the strap is damaged under the tail cap. Try wiggling the switch. If it's lose at all that's where your problem is. My tail cap came off after dropping it. I was able to align the strap with the cap where it use to be welded and push them together pretty hard.

I can walk you thru it. It's not the key that will break, it's the thread inside of the cart. Be super extra careful when removing the threaded screws and count the turns. Do not over tighten on reassembly! That's the best advice I can give. The rest is easy.

I.have rebuilt my carts a couple times myself. When the ceramic starts deteriorating you can user fish aquarium stone diffusers to replace it with. Other than that the only part that can go bad is the heater wire. Unless you break the ceramic post in the middle. I will def keep rebuilding mine...

Is the triton a load as you go type heater? I saw it says it has a ceramic wic ,but was unsure of the capacity

I'm in talks with w9 about making an adaptor for a mechanical mod (the 8) to fit our cera/Luna carts. Is there anyone here who might be interested in something of this nature? It will be closer to $200 for a complete side fire setup. the mod will also work for 510 and W9 thread patterns.

There are quite a few folks that will probably migrate over from Tv products to w9 now that they are out of business. Personally I would still like to see the 8 with a cera thread. Fingers crossed they will still be released

Even the best oil will still stain the ceramic after prolonged use. I wouldn't worry about it. And as far as the Ejuice is concerned, as long as you don't mind the residual after taste of ejuice you'll be fine. Personally I would clean it (iso/boil) before loading up good oil. But it is not...
