You never have to use water, with the large tank I think it would provide enough cooling for the vapor. I never use water with my Qomo I use glass beads.

Are you using OG duckbill mp and spiral cooler? I found OG mp restrictive, the accessory wpa opens it up and you lose the spiral cooler. Using mesh screen in the outlet grommet helps a lot. I use mesh screens top and bottom.
