    The Arizer Air

Air vs. Alpha vs. Firefly, my impressions and opinions: After a few weeks using these daily I think I gave them a fair trial, and while the Arizer Air is easier to clean, the Goboof Alpha is more portable, and easier to use; the Firefly is less practical than both but offers superior taste and...

    The Arizer Air

Oh I see, that really sounds to me like they are just covering themselves: Their legal team sat down and realized that allowing removable batteries means people can use the cheapest most dangerous made-in-China batteries and chargers they can find... but voiding the warranty is a cop out IMO...

I'm a fan of Xtar chargers, I've been eye-ing this one where you can use a battery to give you a portable usb charger: http://www.amazon.com/XTAR-Special-Edition-Battery-Charger/dp/B00FFE8PN0 Why are people afraid of using different chargers again?

Yes I think a removable base plate would be wonderful! Would also protect the glass when you set it down on an uneven surface :2c:

But doesn't yours shut down even if you're puffing on it? Mine does...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

In light of the adamant defenses I thought I'd try experimenting with my technique, and I do find that a slower draw does indeed result in a smoother, less harsh hit! I guess it's my recreational heritage, but I'd always been ripping the evo with my full lung power :D While that did give...

Looking at the charger, it says 5V 1200mA, that means you could actually buy a plug from radioshack (just bring the charger in and have them match the connector) and wire it to a USB cable. Then you just need a USB supply that can put out 1.2A (which is the 1200mA the Alpha needs)

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I stopped using the evo for a week as I've been enjoying my Alpha and Firefly, and I just went back to try a flower ELB: I can't stop coughing... and the taste is hot and harsh, my bamboo isn't cracked or anything, I guess I just never realized how much of a toll on the lungs and throat the evo...

It shuts off for me too even though it says "shuts off 10min after last detected puff" I guess it's not detecting our puffs... 2 ovens would be OK if they were really long sessions, also holding the unit at the bottom to keep it cool should be kinder to the lithium battery long-term.

    Alfa Vaporizer by goboof

Yeah it's up to you, after a while I gave in and started packing it firmly too, it's hard to resist those big clouds :D I think they designed it to use your hand as heatsink. Try holding it by the top and bottom gets pretty hot, but hold it from the bottom right from the start (alternate hands...

How do you replace the screen at the bottom of the oven without buying Torx bits? EDIT: Found it on pg. 7 http://www.thefirefly.com/skin/frontend/default/virtualforce/doc/firefly_cleaning_guide.pdf

Think a battery gauge would be useful, but if you aren't planning on swapping batteries the door is fine IMO. It's made of metal and locks up tight, it's only an issue if you have to open it :2c:

That there advice is gold! Vapor is much better now :D I had assumed when it was fully glowing it was up to temp, but it was already glowing by pulse one so I guess it helps to preheat!

The adapter says 100-240V 50/60hz Just get an adapter for the socket and you're good to go  No... I tried the Solo and sold it because it was low temp and wispy. The Pax on medium hits like the Solo on 7, and the Pax on high is way hot and almost smoky. The Alpha medium feels slightly...

I began the LSD but then this happened: Lol, good tips! So it seems like the key is to finish a bowl quickly before it has a chance to cool?

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Here's a ground bowl with a screen on top: Here's a nug bowl with no screen: This vape clearly has problems evenly heating. I remember the SSV had similar uneven heating and people said that tasted good as well... but why did someone say this had better flavor than the VapeXhale Evo? Sorry...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Got my firefly, but they shipped it with a dead battery :\ Measured the voltage and read 7.4v (it's a double 3.7v battery) that means the low voltage cutoff is actually set at the nominal voltage! As you can see, normal battery capacity is measured from 4.2 to about 3.0v. And at high discharge...

 I find the smell from "cleaning" a vxn in the evo to be very foul... But I actually switched back to flower mainly for increased effects, there's some actives that concentrates just don't capture...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

:o Now that's a story! I decided to get a Firefly over the new Arizer Air, I remember I sold my Solo because the vapor was too light, and I'm really impressed with the design:

I would agree with this, except for Pax's insane 10yr warrenty. I would use the Alpha for out and about, but I just got a firefly on sale for $200 because people say it tastes better than the VapeXhale Evo!
