Hello and welcome to the board. May I suggest you check the Phase3 Vaporizers thread for an interesting read.

**Ball vape comparison megathread** Compare your balls.

I suspect there are many ball vape candidates for small load efficiency, but I only know the Elev8r and the ZX. With the Elev8r I was able to get efficient extraction of .036 g, but it took modifications and lots of management during use to get it done. The ZX works almost as well at .043, but...

    Zeal, Ω, and Epitome

Ball vapes can work on anything from j-hooks to big bongs. Getting the setup right and use is as important as the glass. Having a heat-resistant container (box, pan, etc.) to contain the parts makes organizing and storing the kit quick and easy. For a handle, silicone self fusing tape is...

Globe vs Cube vs Other Glass

I have both a cube and a few globes, and both types do the job. The cube is more stable (less tip & slide) but the globes clear a bit better. However, when I am a feeling lazy, in a hurry I grab a j-hook.

    Beaker vs. Straight tube

I like simple straight tube bongs with variations in bore diameter and height. They run well dry, produce consistent results, are easy to clean and cheap. They don't get you gear cred, or look particularly "WOW" in pictures and buying at the bottom tier will get you an occasional janky piece...

So where is a good place to gather information on the design and construction of coils? I see that some of what I believe about coils and PID may be inaccurate. Thanks.

    Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Hello placetime. You might look into laboratory glass, for example a 50 ml two neck round bottom flask one can spend around $40.00 US for a boutique glass piece, about half that for a US lab glass piece of similar quality, or $10.00 for a China piece. None of the options come with down or draw...

Globe vs Cube vs Other Glass

I have a cheap China globe that was picked up at a gas station that has a removable down stem. Perhaps DHGate would be a good place to start looking.

Any reason to buy ball vape after butane desktop vape?

my question is how good is the temp control and how much better is the flavor/adaptability compared to the 18mm Quartz Cap which is the closest thing I currently have to one...,. Sorry, but I can't have an informed comparison to an 18 mm quartz cap, zero use.

Any reason to buy ball vape after butane desktop vape?

I have tinkered with two different ballers (Elev8r & ZX Zirconia) till they both run smallish loads (.05 g) in the 340 f to 450 f range. The hits are tasty and cool enough to work with a j-hook. Bonus, when the itch hits, one can change up a couple of things and be back to normal out-of-the-box...

Any reason to buy ball vape after butane desktop vape?

It depends on what one is looking for. As examples for stomping my butt into the mud, it's still a torch powered vape (Brick or Elev8r), for long evening on then couch it is another type of vape (LSV, Surfer) and for parties with a mix of smokers and vapers it a modded Plenty. Neither of the...

Globe vs Cube vs Other Glass

I have both, but based on water and vapor interaction, I have no preference for either. Performance is just too close for my insensitive senses to differentiate.

    Phase3 Vaporizers

Got a new bag of different sized O-rings to shim up the rimmed screen in the stock bowl. The load can be set between 9 mm and 25 mm. Time to sort temperature, for :science: SCIENCE 🔬 of course.

I use a handful of wire and nylon brushes, pipe cleaners and a very small amount of ISO. I try to just knock off the stuck on debris and not remove the charring that may have occurred through use.

    Phase3 Vaporizers

Three minutes for heat soaks and recovery. An observation, when using the stock glass bowl, with a 14 mm rimmed screen, O-rings (as shims) one can fashion an adjustable depth (5 mm to 10 mm) bowl. It can make a noticeable difference for the cook, especially for small loads in .030 g range...

    Vaping, manufacture and intellectual property

Once the social and legal tipping points are reached, the lawyers and international manufactures will enter the vape space and too many folks will end up be happily buying ivapes.

Globe vs Cube vs Other Glass

I have both and prefer the globe to the cube, but the advantages are marginal given my usage. A suggestion, if I may, consider applying a thin layer of silicone sealer or adhesive to the bottom of the glass piece, it really reduces sliding.

Am I missing something here? Does someone have a coil baller powered by a pid that is significantly better than another? ....I have two ballers, and I got the second one because I knew more and could make a better choice the second time around. That said, we all have our own preferences and...
