hey, firewood here. It is possible to get some browning of the wood at the hot spots, but it also may be a sign that you are going too hot. The 2.0 that I have been using for a couple months doesn't have any browning at all. Did you have any more specific question(s)?

damn, sorry to hear that. It definitely won't affect performance but we can fix it if you'd like. We also made one other tweak to the process a few weeks ago (after you got yours) aimed at preventing cracks. Again, it is up to you if you want a fix, just PM me.
