Try this... start taking a draw as slowly as you possibly can then gradually increase your draw speed, while listening closely to the air inlet. While you are drawing slowly the air entering the inlet will make no noise, but as you increase the speed at some point it will suddenly start making...

I'm really happy that survived the fall that well, thanks for sharing the pics. I really think this model will be significantly more durable than the fw3 mainly because it is about half the weight which means it has half the momentum when it hits the ground. I have dropped mine on a cement...

There are two reasons you can get buzzes while you are drawing. If you draw too fast it will buzz if you cool the heater too much. If you draw too slow the draw sensor will have gaps in when it detects a draw and this can trick it into thinking it is a new draw. The first case it not very...

Sorry guys, there were maybe half a dozen units that got shipped with the cooling unit a little too long. Email me if you have this issue and we can get it fixed.

I'd go with something between 200 and 300 grit I know, that stuff smells great. It will go away after some time though.

The final coat is around 2 or 3 parts Tung oil to 1 part limonene to to part carnauba wax flakes mixed on low heat then cooled to form a waxy paste. I'm thinking about packaging small quantities of that paste for firewood touch ups but I need to get caught up on some orders first.

There are 4 temp settings and the temp is controlled at the heater. Because it is controlled at the heater, you do have some control in that slower draw will result in hotter capsule temps, faster will result in cooler temps. Also, you can shift the temp ranges but that is not something that...

Now that I am accustomed to swapping batteries when they run out of charge (been using only fw4 the last few weeks) I realize that I would rarely use a usb charger. You just charge the dead battery when you put the new one in, so you are never out of power. On the other hand, there is one...

You want 1/2 inch coarse wire screens. Some pipe screens are made of thin wire and they are noticeably flimsy compared to the ones with thicker wire. These ones work great: https://www.rollingpaperdepot.com/0.5-Inch-Stainless-Steel-Pipe-Screens Development is on track for a release late next...

    Firewood Vaporizer

cool thanks for the replies, that helps. I think the fw4 will be pretty quick for battery swaps. I was really just trying to get a feel for what is typical and expected, and also whether people pay attention to this as a feature when looking at vapes.

It isn't taking too long at all :) i was just wondering what is typical, what is good, what is bad, etc.

I guess I assumed it was a given that there are no tools for it to be considered swappable. Assuming no tools, it could still take too long I think. Maybe I am just being too sensitive coming from the convenience of just plugging the fw3 into a charger cord, which takes almost no time. With...

I'll definitely consider this. It shouldn't be too hard to add. I have a few questions for anybody who has an opinion - when we talk about swappable batteries vs. user-replaceable, we are basically talking about how long it takes to change the batteries... so what do people consider a max...

A few comments regarding inconsistencies... One source of inconsistency is the normal variation of the electrical components. To deal with this I do a calibration on each unit, but that calibration isn't perfect so there is some variation. For fw4 I have come up with a new way to do the...
