You said wooden screw above but there definitely are not any screws. Maybe you were talking about the lid/loading tool? That will definitely be avaialble as a part (as will all the other parts). Regarding arthritis - hard to say but my quess is that fw6 will be easier to use since you don't...

I hadn't really thought about it and I think I'd be hesitant to consider it due to the larger size. I calculate a 21700 to be 47% larger volume than 18650 and they only have about 33% more capacity, so seems like lower energy density at this point. It would be hard to fit a container without...

I really believe wood is still the best choice for a vape body. The heat conductivity and capacity are much lower than metal. 120F metal burns you, 120F wood feels nice. Wood is also a lot lighter than metal, so I can do active things without it feeling like a have a brick swinging around in my...

I haven't measured the storage size in terms of number of bowls, but it is a lot. I'd say like 1.5 to 2 grams. If you really packed it as tight as you could, i'm sure you could fit over 3.5 g but it might be hard to get it all out. Like several times the storage of fw5 if not more. The bowl...

Yes the mouthpiece extends. In the third picture you can see an opening on the bottom of the unit that exposes the end of the glass tube near where you draw. The glass tube has a silicone sleeve at that point that you can use to slide the tube out when it is all the way in. It is regulated...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Not 100% sure, it depends on how a few final things work out, but probably between 5-20% less than fw5.

The bowl is ceramic, just looks a lot like wood.

There should be fw5 trays available on the website if needed.

Thanks! I should add some info on how it works... As you can see there is no button like on fw5. The button is the heater, which you can see in the second pic. It is spring loaded so when you squeeze it against the bowl (by squeezing the whole unit together), your squeezing action does...

Well you are pretty close, except I don't plan on it being messy :) Let's put it this way - I'm a skier and if it isn't something I can load on a chairlift with snow falling then it won't pass my test. Yes the heater will be convection - very similar to fw5 but slightly larger. I also should...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I don't want to give away too much but here is what I can say... The ceramic parts are expensive in terms of material and processing and also due to the tray system on fw5, they require tight tolerances, which also adds to the cost. Plus there are 4 ceramics parts on fw5, which is a lot. fw6...

    Firewood Vaporizer

hard to say. I'd like to say a couple months, but in retrospect I think I often say it is a couple months away and probably said that a couple months ago. It is more certain this time though - I have the design pretty much 100% done in my head and most of the parts designed and ready to go. I...

look up "ebonize wood" for a safe way to turn Walnut into a very dark brown/black.

I think the term "vitrification" in this sense is coming from the pottery industry. I have never seen it used with the type of ceramic used for firewood. However the firewood ceramic parts are all fired to over 2000 F and definitely undergo a change where they become much harder, change color...

If you release the button mid draw then start again within a few seconds it won't do a vib because it isn't starting up again. Also if you do anything else with the button, like check battery, set temp, etc., there is a few seconds timeout before it will register the next button press.

I recently had a couple units sent back to the shop due to air leaking into the vapor path at the L joint and wanted to make folks aware of the issue since there may be a couple more units out there with the same issue. The main symptoms are weak vapor and/or herb charring. If you think you...
