Can't help you with that one, I never even knew such things existed. I would think at least the first couple hits at least would still taste better just because they're true convection.

Yup that's about my experience spot on. Others say they achieve a full extraction without cheating but I just don't see it. Now that my technique and timing is down though I haven't combusted lately.

The taste profile is way better than a dynavap and, at lower temps, maybe slightly better than a dani fusion - if not equal. I will say I've been reaching for my convector over the dani fusion the last week but I use fusion for mtl hits so they're quite different vapes for me. Ceramic...

Well I ordered... The only thing I wonder is - you don't necessarily want the convector to glow when heating right? That's just to show how fast the inductor can heat? The glowing makes off gassing and would certainly lead to combustion, I am sure?

I caved and found a small bag of pure shellac flakes for a nice price. Melted some down with a woodburning knife and smeared it in the carb hole. Might sand down to make look perfect but I have 600 grit sandpaper and idk if the stem is sanded finer than that so don't want to ruin the finish.

Damn this is disappointing, this is the only grinder I've even been interested in. I wonder if the new ones have the same problem...maybe I'll pick one up for 4/20 and hopefully get lucky - but it's almost not worth it... Makes me wonder if the grinder I bought on amazon YEARS ago has had this...

Yeah, I'm actually not even interesting in an aluminum stem either ha - I initially thought it was blackwood. I'm very interested in the aesthetics of my vapes, I think the lotus just looks better with the stem. But I guess I'll just wait and see if they release it with an olive wood stem.
