The only thing to do besides stir is to heat the actual bowl part of the tip for the last couple hits. Works very well and at least you still get pure convection hits in the beginning, for the top half of the load.

ha @Jimagic, sure was. I think I'm liking a double torch best right now. My single flame is an aomi, so maybe it's just small, but it can take a while to get a good hit and the back of the stone heats up pretty hot - this could be because I'm inhaling too quickly though and cooling it down...

That's funny, I've been thinking how im going to try my triple flame torch with the stone and it happens to be basically the exact shape as the vapman torch. I had a feeling it was going to be really good - must be because the shape - but I'm curious about the extra heat too, might be nice.

Yeah supposedly...but I've always tasted it since YEARS ago. Same flavor with both Newport and Colibri butane and through 5 or 6 different torches, so idk what could be wrong. I wonder if some people's taste buds are just more sensitive to it.

You're going to have to start by keeping track in your head; you'll most likely combust a few times. But I combusted plenty of times in the beginning with the dynavap as well so indicater or not, it happens. I personally don't keep track when heating anymore and it's just second nature I guess...
