I attribute the scorching to just not realizing how fast the titanium tip would heat, subsequent bowls are going nice and smooth. Loving the coloring on the tip!

If you want TRUE MTL hits, in my opinion the danivap fusion with the airflow almost all the way restricted is the way to go. For short hits, the camouflet convector is great. The bowl is cool to the touch by the end of each hit. Both have to be heated by a torch first though.

Gave the new titanium tip and cap a couple bowls through --- it's not just the stem that's titanium right, the tip and cap are as well? It's just not as big of a color difference as it is on the stem so now I'm double guessing myself. So far the bowl did seem to hit a bit smoother. I noticed...
