I've got to say though, the convector itself still runs into the same problem; the top 1/3-1/2 of the load gets very dark brown but the rest of the bowl ready for a couple more hits.

Received my Inductor yesterday afternoon. WOW this thing oozes high quality construction, everything from the wires to the box, looks so good. And it absolutely ROCKS, highest I've used it at is only 21.5 from a low of 20 and it takes about 3 seconds to heat the convector tip to glowing orange.

Nah, that's too easy for something I really don't need.

If one of the many stem makers on here started making blackwood stems for the Lotus, I would absolutely have to buy one. (Both a stem and lotus)

The rotation of the magnetic cap works so effectively. I really don't have to stir anymore, maybe if I want to go super dark but I'm lately not obsessed with that anymore. I do find eventually I have to gently tamp the material with my finger once or twice to finish the bowl but it's great.

Yeah maybe it'll dry out after a while and go back to normal, or you can put it in a little bag of dry rice overnight and see if it makes a difference.

I'm pretty sure you aren't suppose to get liquid into the top hole of the cap.
